Carbosten with promethazine contains carbocisteine 2mg, and promethazine 0.05mg. it is manufactured by Dawa Pharmaceutical Ltd in Kenya. Carbosten prom is indicated for nocturnal cough associated with hacking and dry coughs. It is also for coughs that might irritate the throat and gastro-intestinal tract to a point of vomiting or nauseating. Carbosten with promethazine is not recommended for children under the age of two years.
