EMCON (EMERGENCY CONTRACEPTIVE TABLETS) – 2`S

EMCON tablets are an Oral Emergency Contraceptive found in Kenyan Pharmacies. It contains Levonorgestrel 0.75mg. For effectiveness EMCON Tablets should be taken as follow; 1 tablets as soon as possible, then the 2nd tablets within 12hrs after taking the first, within 72hrs of unprotected sexual intercourse. Alternatively, you can take both two tablets at once, but recent research suggests that considering the half life of Levonorgestrel is about 23hrs, the chances of it failing increase by 38%.
