Rivaroxaban, is available in Kenya as Xarelto. It is an oral medication used to prevent blood coagulant and prevent blood clots. It was initially developed and marketed by Bayer in Kenya. It is also indicated for deep vein thrombosis (DVT), that may lead to pulmonary embolism (PE) in knee or hip replacement surgery patients.
