**Claricor (Clarithromycin 500mg Tablets)**

Claricor, containing the active ingredient clarithromycin, is a macrolide antibiotic used to treat various bacterial infections. It is effective against respiratory tract infections, such as pneumonia and bronchitis, as well as skin infections and certain types of stomach ulcers caused by Helicobacter pylori. Claricor works by inhibiting bacterial protein synthesis, thereby stopping the growth of bacteria.

In Kenya, Claricor is commonly prescribed for conditions like sinusitis, tonsillitis, and ear infections. It is also used in combination therapy for the eradication of H. pylori in peptic ulcer disease. The standard dosage is 500mg, taken twice daily, and it is available in packs of 10 tablets.
