Ridmal is a combination medication that contains Dihydroartemisinin (40 mg) and Piperaquine Phosphate (320 mg). It is primarily used for the treatment of uncomplicated malaria caused by Plasmodium falciparum, the most common and severe malaria parasite. Dihydroartemisinin is an artemisinin derivative that acts quickly to reduce the number of malaria parasites in the blood, while Piperaquine is an antimalarial that helps to eliminate the remaining parasites and prevent relapse.
