“Imiquad” manufactured by Glenmark Pharmaceuticals in Kenya is a topical cream containing the active ingredient imiquimod. It is used for the treatment of certain skin conditions, primarily those related to viral infections and precancerous or cancerous growths like warts. Imiquad works by stimulating the body’s immune response in the targeted area. It activates certain immune cells, such as interferon-producing cells, which can help combat viruses, abnormal cells, and cancerous growths. This mechanism of action makes it effective in treating conditions like genital warts, actinic keratosis, and certain types of skin cancer.

For genital warts, Imiquad is often applied three times a week for up to 16 weeks. Actinic keratosis treatment might involve applying Aldara to the affected area twice a week for a certain period.
